Personal Statement

I am a Media, Arts, and Science major with a concentration in video production and sound design. So far throughout my academic career, I have worked on various projects involving writing, video, and sound. I have focused on media production and design. My special interests are in video editing and creating content for social media. I studied subjects such as digital storytelling, writing, content creation, and social media strategies. I want to take what I've learned and apply it to real-world applications. These experiences at my university have advanced my skills. Some future goals I have are to work in the media industry and create content that entertains or inspires audiences. I am interested in this field because I am a creative person and have always dreamed of creating content as a career. I want to create more projects with a team and create something beautiful. 

I believe teamwork is a positive experience that aligns with my values to always be a friend and a great team player. To make a movie, it requires having a good team that works together. In my academic career, I have worked in various teams to create projects, and working as a team always improves the quality of a movie or TV show.

Being an honors student at IU means putting forth your determination to reach your goals. It means having integrity and a passion for learning. I chose to be an honors student to be more involved and gain experience in my specialization. This program has set me up for success and increased my drive to succeed. I have a lot of ambition for what I do, and I try to always do what needs to be done to accomplish my goals. 

In conclusion, I am a student who wants to achieve things in the media production field. I am ambitious, and I jump into opportunities for my career. I hope to one day have a career as a creative and do what I’ve always dreamed of doing.
